Weekly Home Evaluation or Assessment

Interior Checks:

• Visual interior check for all rooms
• Check interior temperature / thermostat and adjust if necessary
• Check security system
• Check all windows and doors – locked and secured
• Visual check for signs of mildew and water damage
• Check for signs of rodent and insect
• Check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries
• Water Plants
• Adjust Window Coverings
• Replace Light Bulbs if needed
• Check Fireplace
• Turn off all lights and fans or as directed

Kitchen Checks:

• Turn on all faucets and check for leaks and drips
• Check refrigerator, freezer, ice maker
• Check make sure gas stove is off
• Run garbage disposal
• Run dishwasher on short cycle once a month
• Turn off all lights and fans or as directed

Bathroom Checks:

• Turn on all faucets, showers, tubs and check for leaks and drips
• Flush all toilets
• Turn off all lights and fans or as directed

Utility Room Checks:

• Check circuit breakers panel for tripped breakers
• Check water heater, radiant heat for leaks, drips or corrosion
• Check washer and dryer connections and venting

Garage Checks:

• Check for signs of insects and rodents
• Is door opener in locked position and bottom gasket tight to prevent entry
• Start and run all vehicle, 4×4’s, snowmobiles, etc. or as directed. But will not drive.

Exterior Checks:

• Check that scheduled home services are being performed (lawn care, snowplowing, etc.)
• Visual check of yard, fencing, out buildings, landscaping and sprinklers
• Visual check of exterior windows and doors
• Visual check of exterior light fixtures
• Check perimeter of home for signs of damage
• Check for signs of vandalism and force entry
• Visual check of roof for damage from heavy snow load and ice dams
• Check for rodent and other pest infestation
• Remove unwanted newspapers, circulars, etc.
• Check for UPS, FEDEX, etc. delivers and store as directed
• Check propane levels and report as directed

Departure Checks:

• Lock all doors and windows
• Activate security system
• Close all gates

Communication:

• Send real-time reports from home after each inspection
• Identify issues & concerns and call if deem urgent or as directed
• Attach photos of problem areas
